She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Debra has extensive experience working within multiple areas of the mental health and social work field using a compassionate, trauma-informed, and holistic approach to care.

Her professional background includes working with the Department of Children and Family Services, providing support to children and families navigating trauma, abuse, neglect, family conflict, and emotional instability. She has also worked as a hospice social worker, offering grief therapy, caregiver support, emotional guidance, and end-of-life support to patients and families during difficult life transitions. Since 2017, Debra has worked within the nonprofit mental health field providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Debra works with clients ranging from ages 4 to 104 and specializes in trauma, grief and loss, caregiver burnout, anxiety, depression, family dynamics, emotional regulation, and nervous system healing. She has experience supporting individuals impacted by emotional abuse, verbal abuse, physical abuse, sexual trauma, attachment wounds, childhood trauma, and chronic stress.

Debra is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and H.A.P.I. Hypnosis and Accelerated Processing Interventions and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Her H.A.P.I. training incorporates advanced therapeutic approaches including Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Ericksonian Hypnosis, relaxation techniques, trauma processing interventions, and bilateral stimulation exercises.

Debra believes therapy should be a safe and empowering environment where clients feel heard, validated, and supported without judgment. She integrates evidence-based therapies with mind-body approaches to help clients move beyond survival mode and toward healing, resilience, emotional balance, and renewed hope.

Debra is also a veteran of the United States Air Force. In her free time, she enjoys grounding in nature, visiting national parks, walking her dog, and studying astrology and personal growth.
